DIOR, The New Look Revolution

The Bar Suit (kiri)-1947

Kalau di hari-hari sebelumnya orang tidak ada yang mengenal nama Christian Dior, begitu Rumah Mode ‘Christian Dior’ diresmikan 12 Februari 1947, nama itu langsung mencuat, menjadi terkenal dan tetap terkenal hingga hari ini.

Dari rumah mode di Avenue Montaigne 30 –Paris- itulah revolusi mode dicetuskan. Dior sang perancang, lewat koleksi “New Look”nya berhasil mengubah mode dari gaya maskulin serba lurus ‘peninggalan’ Perang Dunia II, ke gaya feminin yang anggun dan elegan. Bahu kekar menjadi lembut tanpa sumpelan. Siluet gaun yang kaku menjadi kaya lekukan dengan pinggang ketat, ramping dan pinggul penuh.

Parfum Miss Dior yang legendaris

 Tahun 2015 ini, dengan judul “DIOR,The New Look Revolution”, koleksi Dior dari tahun 1947 hingga sekarang dipamerkan. Selain koleksi ‘New Look’nya yang legendaris, secara keseluruhan ada 80 adibusana dipajang; dari kreasi Dior sendiri hingga Raf Simons, desainer rumah mode Dior sekarang. Selebihnya ada sekitar 30 foto, 50 dokumen, benda2 kenangan ‘New Look” dari manuskrip, sketsa2 orisinal, botol2 parfum Miss Dior, boneka New Look, pola baju,dsb.

Pameran digelar di “Musée Christian Dior”, museum Dior di Granville (selatan Normandy, Perancis) dari tanggal 6 Juni hingga 1 November 2015. Rumah pink dengan kebun cantik ini merupakan rumah Dior semasa kecil. Selain melihat-lihat museum, pengunjung juga bisa berjalan-jalan di kebun atau minum teh di ‘Tea Room’ menikmati pemandangan laut…
